About our company
I am a custom home builder looking to make a difference in the building world. Recently I started changing the way to build a house focusing on air tight energy efficient building practices. Sealing your home for the future is a reality now. I have committed to building a tighter home and learned new technology along the way. As a builder I see this being a crucial step in the building process. I always look to improve my homes wherever possible. This will help all builders meet codes today. The biggest hurdle in building homes today is passing a blower door test. We take the guesswork out of passing this test the first time. I decided to invest in Aerobarrier to build a better home for all of my customers. My passion for improving the current building process led me to became a certified installer of Aeroseal Envelope. This revolutionary process will help us build into the future. I am proud to offer my services to help all builders big or small. I remember my first blower door test and the stress it puts you through. If the blower door test fails. Not only will it cost you a re-inspection fee. It will cost you time and materials to make it pass.
My goal is to help you save money and reduce your energy consumption. We can take a house down to as low as .47 or less ACH50. This simply means your house will change interior air only .47 times in 1 hour. This tight air seal and appropriate ventilation, along with make up air. This procedure will make your home get great rebates and tax credits. Residential houses need to achieve a 3 ACH50 or less in Massachusetts. The stretch code continues to get even tighter, with a more difficult code coming July of 2024. As a builder I see Aeroseal Envelope the most cost effective way to meet these codes. With this new code coming most builders are going to need all the help they can get to obtain an occupancy permit.
We are currently looking into existing homes and how to seal an occupied home. This sealing process seals areas we can’t even get to. Most older homes have an ACH50 of around 10 or more. Extreme energy loss like this means your air will be change 10 times a hour. This would mean your heating and cooling will run almost 9.53 times more than an .47 ACH50 home in 1 hour.
I will continue to make strides to help solve these energy problems and save people money. With the prices and inflation hitting hard every dollar counts. This Aeroseal Envelope system is the most cost effective way to meet new codes. If you combine the Aeroseal Envelope with any other energy efficient way to heat and cool your home you will get optimized credits and rebates .
Multi-family have a high leakage number due to the party wall and not being able to seal it correct. Aeroseal Envelope can take that number down to 1.6 from a 5 ACH50. This sealing process is a game changer!!
” The AeroBarrier technology consistently gave us the results we needed. By making air sealing a dependable process, we were able to make changes in the design phase that were critical to this project’s success… AeroBarrier gave us the confidence to not overcompensate with an oversized HVAC system to hit our performance goals. This cut our HVAC costs in half and reduced the amount of capital invested in mechanicals.
